Vacation Bible School

Give kids the ticket to adventure where they choose to believe!  Hear the music and smell the popcorn! Come enter SonWorld Adventure Park, where kids will discover that choosing Jesus is the ticket to the best ride of their lives. Based on Joshua 24:15, Crossroads Vacation Bible School helps kids learn to make right choices in a world of options. At this theme park, there’s no height requirement, the lines are short and everyone gets a good view of the parade. But hold onto your hats, because it’s sure to be a life-changing ride!

SEA TO SEA UPDATE

I think a lot of you received an email from George Vanderkuur this past week, as he continues to ride with the Sea to Sea bike tour across the U.S. Along with other riders from Christian Reform churches they are riding to raise awareness and funds to help end the cycle of poverty for families and communities around the world.  Please pray for George (as it sounds like quite a tough ride!), that he will safe on the roads, and that he will continue to feel inspired. Check out the website and the riders’ blogs at www.crcna.org and follow the links. 

On Saturday, August 23, more than 240 cyclists and support crew will ride into St. Catharines as part of the ‘Sea to Sea 2008 Bike Tour’.  This is the largest cross-continental cycling tour ever.  So, if you happen to be vacationing in the area, it’s worth a visit! 

On Sunday, August 24 there will be a celebration service held at Queenston Heights Park in Niagara Falls, Ont.  The service begins at 4 p.m. preceeded by a ministry fair at 2 p.m.  If you’re in the area, come out and meet the cyclists and spend the afternoon in the park.

MEXICO MISSION TRIP

Arielle, Cody & John Schrieber along with members from Hebron CRC in Whitby are back from Mexico, to work with Life Challenge International. Life Challenge is involved in many areas of ministry and projects that help community development. Their hope is to see the Holy Spirit transform whole communities through Christ-centred education, encouragement and assistance. The Schreibers would like to thank everyone for their prayers and support.
